The Māori Writers Scholarship covers the full cost of a year’s study and is awarded annually. Both new Māori students and Māori graduates returning to the Institute for a second year of study are eligible to apply.
Applicants should enrol online or visit the Enrolment Centre at Hagley College by mid-November. No payment is needed to enrol. The Institute will then request a cover letter, short writing sample, and indication of interest in the scholarship via email.
Entry to the course is competitive, and the outcome of all applications will be advised in December.
